iO Tillett Wright is a multidisciplinary writer, documentarian, and cultural strategist with over two decades of experience translating complex social systems into accessible, human-centered narratives.

He is the author of four published books, translated and sold worldwide, and the creator of Self Evident Truths, the largest photographic archive of a marginalized community in history. His journalism and essays have appeared in The New York TimesVogueThe LA TimesNew York Magazine, and more.

As a speaker and educator, iO has delivered a TEDx Talk viewed over 3 million times and has lectured for institutions and organizations including Harvard, Stanford, Nike, and The Atlantic. His podcasts have garnered over 15 million downloads.

In addition to his editorial and cultural work, iO has led major grassroots fundraising and direct relief efforts for decades. Raised in low-income housing by a single mother, his leadership is grounded in lived experience, with a longstanding commitment to bridging the gap between institutional systems and the people they’re meant to serve.

iO leads the design of all PostFire programming, oversees the organization’s ethical framework, and guides its public voice. He ensures that every tool, message, and initiative reflects PostFire’s values - steady, trustworthy, and useful.
