Natalie Ushijima Miller is a dedicated fundraising professional whose passion lies in uplifting communities by channeling resources toward equity, opportunity, and systemic change. She views fundraising as a way to fuel the dreams of individuals and as an act of communal care.

Currently serving as Assistant Director of Development at UCLA’s Office of Scholarships & Student Support Initiatives, Natalie manages a diverse donor portfolio and leads strategic efforts in engagement, retention, and stewardship. Her work has helped secure over $1.2 million in funding for low-income, first-generation, and undocumented student populations through UCLA’s Affordability Initiative. Her experience includes leading renewal and endowment conversations, designing personalized donor experiences, and building long-term relationships rooted in trust.

Known for her innovative and creative approach, she has produced compelling storytelling campaigns that center the voices of the communities she serves. At the heart of Natalie’s work is a deep belief in the inherent worth of every person and a commitment to ensuring all communities have the resources they need to flourish.
