Salva

Beautiful, safe, insurable.

50 architect designed homes. All electric, stunning & the highest level of resiliency…for the price of an ADU.

This is how we come home.

collectively bargained

14,471 homes burned in the Eaton and Palisades fires. Almost all of us are underinsured and bids are astronomical, pushing rebuilding out of reach for many. So we started thinking…

“Could PostFire negotiate discounts on every part of the construction process? Could we get costs low enough that more of us could come home?”

The answer…is yes.

“How much does Salva Save me?”

$100k-$400k

How is this possible??

  • 50 free pre-approved home plans

  • Built-in resiliency (IBHS Wildfire Prepared Plus standard)

  • Panelized builds (40% faster build time)

  • Bundled contractor services

  • Discounted materials: windows, roofing, siding, insulation and more

  • Pre-negotiated fixture and finish packages

  • Discounted appliances, mechanicals, solar, and HVAC

  • Help stacking aid, grants, and rebates

We negotiated every part of the construction process and stacked all the discounts, standardization opportunities and grants together into one program - Salva.

What is the process?

  • Search through the homes in a digital portal where you can customize your siding material, colors, and fixture and finish package, (“good”, “better”, “best” but all great).

Free plans save you 6-15% of your total rebuild budget.

  • An owner’s rep is a licensed professional who protects you during the build process. They check that the home fits on your lot and that your budget can cover it. Then they connect you with builders working in your area who are willing to bundle services, and your architect.

This rep is provided by a non-profit, at no cost to you. They will stay with you through your entire rebuild process.

  • Your architect oversees the site specific engineering and other work to get you through permits.

This person would be paid by you.

  • Your owners rep helps connect you with vetted builders who are working in your area already, who agree to

    • Bundle-price services across neighbors

    • Cost-plus or fixed price contracts

This saves you 20% markup on all materials and can bring down your GC soft costs (a huge chunk of your budget) by 22%.

  • The builder preps your site, builds your foundation, and gets everything ready for installation while your home is built in a factory.

    • This is 40% faster than a traditional build, which saves you a huge amount in labor costs.

    • The factory discounts the build price when buying via Salva.

    • All of the materials involved in both processes are discounted, saving you 20-40% on materials, as well.

  • The factory ships both full assembled rooms (modular) and flat packed wall panels to your site, where your builder assembles and finishes the home.

All your fixtures, finishes, appliances and electrification equipment are discounted by 20-50%.

By limiting the contractor’s work to site work, assembly and finishes, you save a huge amount.
